Advertising in Inspire or SNews

Inspire is the Journal of the ARTP and is published three times per year - publication dates are April / August / December

SNews is the official bi-annual Sleep E-Magazine of the ARTP and is published twice per year - publication dates are May / November

The above publications are available free to ARTP Members.

ARTP Membership has over 1,300 members and represents Clinical Physiologists, Clinical Scientists and other allied health professionals working in clinical respiratory physiology and sleep physiology. The ARTP has a close working relationship with other professional bodies such as the British Thoracic Society and with equipment manufacturers. Inspire is sent to each member of the ARTP and complementary copies are distributed to other interested parties such as the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians.
 

 

Advertising rates

Current advertising rates (per issue) are detailed below. Please note, that VAT will be added to the price shown:

Half Page £660 + VAT Free* / £385 + VAT
Full Page £1,100 + VAT £624 + VAT

*Corporate membership of the ARTP entitles the member to 1 free half page advert per year in either the Inspire Journal or Sleep Newsletter. If you wish to top up your free advert from half page to full page, the cost will be £385. Once your free advert is claimed, additional half page adverts will be charged at £385 for the remainder of the year. Prices were last updated in April 2023.

Advertisement specifications

Advertisements should be submitted in either pdf, jpg or png files. Please ensure that the adverts you send are not password protected and are suitably high quality.

Page sizes are:

  •  a half page horizontal advert will be 190mm wide x 135mm tall
  •  a full page advert will be 190mm wide x 265mm tall

In addition, we would like to see diversity across the adverts, to include images of people from different ethnic backgrounds. Please can this be considered when you submit any adverts with images of people.

Links - If you are placing a link into your advert, please ensure you write the full address including the 'https' to ensure it is an automatic link in the pdf you provide.


Submitting your adverts

Once you've purchased your advertisement space, you'll be sent an email confirmation with a link to submit your adversitement though the website.

Inspire Adverts
Once approved, adverts submitted

  •  before the 1st March will go into the April edition
  •  before the 1st July will go into the August edition
  •  before the 1st November will go into the December edition

SNews Adverts+
Once approved, adverts submitted

  •  before the 1st April will go into the May edition
  • before the 1st October will go into the November edition

+Please note that due to the size of SNews, we can only accept 2 adverts per edition, therefore please submit early to avoid any diappointment

Advertising a job vacancy with the ARTP

 Maximum time for advertising is 12 weeks
 - Vacancies will be put on the ARTP Website here and also emailed directly to our members*
 - All advertisements are subject to approval by the ARTP Executive Board

Repeat advertisement discount

Please note that ARTP offer a 60% discount for any direct repeat advertisement. This is only applicable for a direct re-advertisement for a post not filled from a previous advert (e.g. 1-3 months after the original advert was placed). The discount can only be used against the original advertising tariff.

Job vacancy guidelines

The following information is not intended to state the content of your advertisement, but to suggest a template and key information that can be included to ensure you get the best response from the most appropriate candidates to your advertisement. 

Once you've purchased your vacancy space, you'll be sent an email confirmation with a link to submit your vacancy details though the website. We will ask for the following information.

Initial Information
Please include the following information before the main body of the advertisement:
 - Trust/Hospital Name and address
 - Job Title and Appropriate Band
 - Pay Scale
 - Hours (Full/Part-Time) Permanent or Fixed Post
 - Job Reference Number

Hospital/Departmental Information
You may wish to include any information on the Hospital and in particular the department your prospective employee will be working in.  What are the benefits?  Why should prospective candidates apply?

Job Description
It may be beneficial to include a description of the advertised post.  This can include a description of the tests they will be expected to perform as well as any management, training or research duties encompassed in the job description.

Qualifications
Please state the required qualifications the post advertised.  For further information please refer to additional guidelines supplied. Candidates for Band 5 roles and above should also be registered, or in the process of applying to the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).

Closing Information
Please also include a closing date and if available the interview date, as well as details of where a job description and person specification can be obtained from. 

Advertisements must have a closing date within a month of posting.

You may also wish to include contact details for someone in the department candidates can contact for further information or to arrange informal visit.

Please note that all applications are subject to Committee Aproval which can take up to 5 working days.
