ARTP Workforce and Staffing Survey

The ARTP Workforce Committee carried out an ARTP Workforce Survey in 2018. The aim of the survey was to gain an insight into the workload, waiting times and staffing levels in respiratory and sleep physiology departments in the UK, and to make recommendations.

An Excel Toolkit was also developed to accompany this report that uses the principles derived from the survey. The toolkit allows services to examine their current workload, skill mix and generate other scenarios to predict how staffing requirements might change if demand for different tests changes. It can also model what effect it might have on the required skill mix if the tests were performed by different grades of staff.
