Please note the following updates to the 2023 Spirometry Handbook:

The table in Figure 3.2 on page 42 has been amended for the extrathoracic variable column :

FEF 50% FVC reads 4.99 in the printed version, which has now been changed to 3.57
FIF 50% FVC reads 7.68 in the printed version, which has now been changed to 1.35
FEF 50% FVC/FIF 50%FVC reads 0.65 in the printed version, which has now been changed to 2.64

The text on page 84, paragraph 8 has been amended to be in line with the results presented in the table above it:

Changed from:
Baseline z-score for FEV1 is below the LLN (z-score=-2.34), whilst FVC is within normal limits (z-score = -1.16). The FEV1/FVC is reduced indicating the presence of airflow obstruction (z-score=-2.46)

Changed to:
Baseline z-score for FEV1 is below the LLN (z-score=-2.27), whilst FVC is within normal limits (z-score = -0.93). The FEV1/FVC is reduced indicating the presence of airflow obstruction (z-score=-2.47)
