ARTP is delighted to announce the long awaited publication of the ‘Statement on Pulmonary Function Testing 2020’ today in BMJ Open Respiratory Research.

This is a comprehensive update of the landmark BTS/ARTP Guidelines for the Measurement of Respiratory Function 1994 and we are indebted to the many experts who have contributed their time, wisdom, experience and expertise to this revised document.

Special thanks must go to Dr Karl Sylvester and Mr Keith Butterfield for their endless patience, time and dedication in ensuring these guidelines came to fruition. We hope that these updated guidelines continue to support our members and other healthcare professionals in delivering the highest quality respiratory physiological measurements, which are the hallmark of ARTP.
