In this one day online course you will get an overview of the role research plays in respiratory physiology and the wider NHS, and how you can start making research a part of your practice.
Target Audience:
Respiratory physiologists working in NHS settings wanting a greater understanding of the research process. This may be particularly relevant for those wanting to start a study in their workplace, or considering completing a research masters or applying for further study.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand the role research plays in the NHS
Understand the process of carrying out research, including regulatory frameworks
Understand the role of other stakeholders, such as charities, funding bodies, patients and the public have in research
Improve their confidence with statistical analysis
Gain familiarity with methods of dissemination, including publishing your work in peer-reviewed journals
