Who am I

I am a respiratory and sleep physiologist working at James Paget University Hospital. My journey in healthcare began in Nigeria, where I gained experience as a physiologist before moving to the UK in 2022. To better understand the UK healthcare system, I worked as a support worker before applying for a physiologist role in 2024. My academic background is in Medical Physiology, which I studied at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria.

A bit about me

I have a strong passion for sleep science  and the impact of sleep on overall health. My experiences in both Nigeria and the UK have shaped my understanding of patient care and clinical practice, and I’m eager to contribute to the field.

Beyond healthcare, I have a creative side—I love video editing, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life through content creation. Traveling is another passion of mine, and it inspired me to start vlogging, capturing unique experiences and perspectives along the way.

What would you like to achieve in your role?

As an Early Career Representative for the ARTP, my primary goal is to foster a supportive and engaging environment for early career professionals. I want to:

 - Create a space for open discussions  where early career professionals feel confident asking questions and exploring career options.
 - Help new physiologists navigate their career paths  understand their opportunities, and set clear professional goals.
 - Encourage engagement within the ARTP community making professional development and networking more accessible.
 - Support learning and growth  by sharing insights on respiratory and sleep physiology and promoting career-building initiatives.

I look forward to contributing to the field, working alongside passionate professionals, and helping others build successful careers in respiratory physiology.
