ERS United for Better Breathing Webinar - Advocacy: making our voices heard

Date21 Aug 2026
LocationOnline

There is increasing recognition of the value that strong partnerships between patients, clinicians and researchers can bring to effective delivery of respiratory care. This pre-Congress webinar series introduces the ERS Congress 2026 theme 'United for better breathing: partnership between patients, clinicians and researchers' and explores how co-creation and collaboration can strengthen individual care, improve care delivery, advance meaningful research and amplify the impact of advocacy.

The series is co-developed with the European Lung Foundation (ELF), reflecting the joint ERS-ELF commitment to strengthening patient-professional partnership in respiratory care and research. It will explore how co-creation and collaboration can strengthen individual care, improve care delivery, advance meaningful research and amplify the impact of advocacy.

Each webinar will feature conversations between healthcare professionals and patients who will use their experience of real world partnerships to highlight both the opportunities and the challenges of working together to support clinical care, co-design services and collaborate on research. The focus is practical, showcasing successful initiatives and offering delegates actionable insights they can apply in their own clinical, research and advocacy activities.

Why attend?
Hear from patients, clinicians and researchers with practical experience of working together.

Reflect on how their hints and tips can support your clinical practice, inform co-design in your clinical services, enhance your research collaborations and add value to your advocacy.
