This form is to be completed only by those undertaking a ARTP Practitioner, Associate or Clinical Professional Qualification. Please note, extension requests can take up to 14 days to be approved.

You must not complete this form if you are undertaking a Sleep Certificate, Blood Gas Certificate, CPET Certificate or Spirometry Certificate

Application for Professional Qualification Extension

Candidates are entitled to 2 free extensions and may apply for an extension for either:

  • 2 month 
  • 6 month - deferral extensions are granted only under exceptional circumstances, such as long-term illness, transfer of hospital, family bereavement. Supporting evidence, such as a sick note or a letter/email from a senior staff member, must be submitted with the application.

Please note, further extensions are chargeable at £35 for an additional 6 months and require approval. A payment link will be emailed once the extension is approved. Please note, if the candidate is yet to complete their portfolio and requires an extension, the extension would only extend the portfolio deadline date, not the overall deadline date as well. 

Extension requests may take up to 14 days to process. Please make sure to submit your request at least 14 days before your deadline.
