ARTP Awards

ARTP Fellowships

In 2025, ARTP launched its Fellowship Policy. The ARTP Fellowship programme recognises individuals who have demonstrated sustained excellence, leadership, and significant contributions to respiratory and/or sleep physiology and the wider aims of the Association. Fellowship status represents the highest level of professional recognition within the ARTP.

Fellowship strengthens ARTP’s authority and credibility when engaging with external stakeholders, enhances opportunities for mentorship and professional development, and builds a visible community of leaders who embody best practice. This programme will foster professional pride, long-term engagement with the Association, and ensure that ARTP continues to influence and shape the future of respiratory/sleep healthcare at national and international levels. Click the award for more information.

Honorary Fellowship

Honorary Fellowship is awarded to individuals who may or not be members of the ARTP but have made an outstanding contribution to respiratory and/or sleep physiology, education, innovation, or advocacy aligned with the ARTP's mission. The ARTP Professor Will Man Aspiring Researcher Award was created due to a charitable donation by Professor Will Man after completing his tenure as the ARTP President in 2026. This award celebrates and recognises the achievements of budding new researchers at the beginning of their career in respiratory and sleep science. It honours those who stand out in research and innovation at an early stage and show true promise to develop as a leading researcher.

This annual award includes a bursary of £250 towards the cost of registration and/or travel for attendance at a conference/course and has been funded for the next five years (up to and including 2030).
