for the ARTP 2020 Conference

Abstract Submission

The ARTP Annual Conference is a premier meeting to present your research and we invite authors to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2020 Conference in Birmingham.

Abstract submissions have been increasing over recent years in number and quality, and so we would encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. They can consist of scientific presentations (such as presenting new theories, techniques, clinical research, etc), clinical presentations (such as case studies, new therapeutic approaches, etc) or innovative systems of work (such as new patient care pathways, audits, etc).

You are invited to present it at our forthcoming conference in a friendly, supportive and educational atmosphere and by doing so it will help you gain recognition for your work and boost your profile among the UK's leading respiratory experts.

ARTP Abstract Categories

Abstracts should be submitted in one of three categories:

Word Cloud

The decision as to whether a presentation is to be a poster or oral communication will be solely that of the Abstract committee, whose decision will be final. The abstracts committee will review all abstracts submitted by the closing date using an anonymous version. Each abstract will be scrutinised and amendments requested where required to ensure the high quality and scientific worth of the conference and the 'Inspire' journal.

An abstract, which may be an Oral (Spoken Poster) or Poster Communication is a means of communicating work in progress or completed work and may include interesting case studies, research or audits.

Abstracts should be submitted in one of three categories –

  1. Respiratory
  2. Sleep
  3. Quality Improvement and Patient Safety

The decision as to whether a presentation is to be a poster or oral communication will be solely that of the ARTP Research Abstract committee.

The abstracts committee will -

  • Review all abstracts submitted by the closing date using an anonymised version.
  • Require that an abstract that does not conform to these guidelines be amended before acceptance in order to maintain the high quality and scientific worth of abstracts published in Inspire.
