  ARTP Conference 2015

Thank you for showing an interest in the 2015 conference. Once again the ARTP will be offering a comprehensive program to healthcare professionals with an interest in respiratory/sleep physiology and medicine. 

The conference venue is the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool and we aim to provide a comprehensive range of topics and formats to maximise learning. There will be discussions on national and international issues influencing the field of Respiratory Medicine. Please use the links on this page to learn what our conference can offer you.

Conference Grants



Funding in the form of conference grants is available for all ARTP members (Student, Associate, Affiliate and Accredited) to attend the ARTP Conference. Conference grants can be awarded for whole or part attendance at the conference, depending upon the amount requested. Attendance registration must be confirmed for the days funded.


Conference Workshops


Once again we are offering lunchtime workshops, some of which may be sponsored by manufacturers. Please remember to go directly to these workshops - lunch will be provided in these rooms.

The subjects of the lunchtime workshops are losted below, but further details can be found on the Workshops Page:

  • The Exercsie ECG. What Can We learn from Cardiology? (Dr. Luke Howard)
  • How Engaged are Patients in their Own Healthcare? (Ms Anwen Evans)
  • Respiratory Determinants of Endurance Performance (Dr. Lee Romer)

Conference Workshops will be booked this year via: Conference On-Line Registration

Delegates will be able to book workshops once their registration has been confirmed. All workshop attendance opportunites are on a first come, first served basis and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Prompt registration for the conference will enhance your chances of securing a place at the workshop(s) of your choice. Delegates may only attend one workshop per day.

ARTP Conference Award Nominations 2015

The aim of the ARTP Special Award for Service to Respiratory Measurement is to recognise the achievements of individuals in promoting or advancing the ideals and standards in respiratory physiology and measurement practice.

The 2014 award winners were:

  • Dr. Adrian Kendrick - Consultant Clinical Scientist, Bristol, Royal Infirmary
  • Professor Mary Morrell - Sleep and Respiratory Physiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London
