Science, technology and medicine are constantly evolving and scientists must ensure they continue to demonstrate best practice. ARTP’s professional qualifications allow respiratory practitioners to update their skills and knowledge.
Aimed at: Physiologists working at Bands 3-4 level as a stand alone assessment of professional competence.
Requirements: Minimum of one year clinical experience in a Respiratory Physiology department.
Cost: £375
Aimed at: Individuals who have successfully completed the Associate level qualification and wish to ‘top up’ to the Practitioner Qualification.
Cost: £245
Aimed at: Physiologists working at Band 5 or above level, including PTP graduates and STP direct entry students, as a stand alone assessment of professional competence.
Requirements: Minimum two years clinical experience in a Respiratory Physiology department.
Cost: £425
All qualifications will require candidates to complete an IRCP (Individual record of clinical practice) portfolio in their workplace over a six month period. In addition candidates undertaking Level I will be required to complete a practical examination demonstrating their technical competence with a range of respiratory techniques. Those taking the Level II or Level III examinations will also be required to demonstrate the relevant interpretation as part of a clinical viva.
